Biometric Enrollment
Biometric Enrollment: Users would need to enroll their fingerprint into the vehicle's utrasonic contacless fingerprint sensor inbuilt in the car dashboard /multimedia system. This is usually a onetime process where the system captures and stores the unique characteristics of the user's fingerprint.
Authentication
When the user wants to make a payment, they would initiate the process through the car's infotainment system or a dedicated app. The system would then request fingerprint authentication.
Secure Communication
The vehicle would communicate securely with the payment gateway or service, ensuring the transaction is encrypted and protected.
Authorisation
Once the fingerprint is verified, the system would authorize the payment using the stored credentials associated with the user's account.
Confirmation
The user would receive a confirmation of the transaction on the vehicle's display or through another communication channel.
However the same fingerprint payment sytem above can also be utilised in the absence of internet inside the car by using the the SIM overlay method. The UPI code is generated through the sms and is also an alternative method of secure payment.
Biometric Data Encoding:
Biometric data, such as fingerprint patterns or voice signatures, is encoded into a digital format.
Ultrasonic Transmission
The encoded biometric data is then modulated onto ultrasonic sound waves. This process turns the digital information into a signal that can be transmitted through the air as ultrasonic waves.
Device Interaction
The transmitting device emits the ultrasonic signal, and the receiving device, equipped with an ultrasonic microphone, captures the signal.
Data Decoding
The receiving device decodes the ultrasonic signal to retrieve the original biometric dat
Biometric Verification
The received biometric data is then used for verification or authentication purposes. For example, in the context of a payment system, a fingerprint captured through ultrasonic waves could be compared to a stored fingerprint template for authentication.
